About who needs care: Care is for a young adult with a cognitive impairment and developmental disability while their guardians are out of town for just over a week. About the care needs: The individual in need of care is fully independent with their personal care tasks, cleaning tasks, and can remain at home independently for up to 48 hours at a time. Care is primarily needed for a few hours (every other day) to assist with meal prepping, cooking, and checking on the home for potential emergency situations (e. g. potential winter storm). In addition to cooking, a few hours of quality time is needed for companionship. An added plus if the applicant is able to converse about video games, cartoon movies, and TV shows. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands/grocery shopping, and companionship.
