About who needs care: They are receiving treatment for cancer and require a wheelchair and assist. Patient is approximately 160 pounds and has weak mobility but we are working on getting stronger!! About the care needs: A Positive person who is encouraging would be a strong trait. Our family is new to this current challenge so someone who welcomes questions to alleviate any concern/anxiety would be really helpful- we are just worried and want our mother to make it through this challenging time. A good conversationalist is always a plus as she is social. Patience is a must as there will be days that pain may interfere with the speed in which the transition can occur. We really value someone who cares for others and their emotional and physical well being as a core of their work ethic.
