About who needs care: History of ovarian cancer (recent), macular degeneration. Mom is structured in the morning and has a routine. I have her pills set up with a pill dispenser and she to remind her to take her meds. Has some short term memory loss. Hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. Able to toilet herself and dress herself. Gets lonely and depressed when I am not there. About the care needs: Easy going type person that goes with the flow. One that would anticipate what mom needs but lets her do things in her own. Asks mom what she wants and does not tell her what to do (she hates that). Any cooking skills is a plus. Watching TV, old movies, card games. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
