About the job
About who needs care: The care is for my dad. He does many things on his own, including driving, feeds himself. He doesn't cook really at home, he goes out to eat every day. His doctor wants someone to come a couple times a week for a couple hours to make sure he is clean, organized and has some companionship. He gets a lot of urinary infections. He has the beginning stages of dementia. He gets confused sometimes pretty easy when there is a topic that he wants to dwell on. He has a lot of antiques in his house. I guess the structure of his day is that he wakes up, watches some television and eats breakfast maybe around 12:00. He watches a little more television, may take a nap and then around 3:30 he will come over to his office. He has a housekeeper that comes every 2 weeks to clean the house. About the care needs: Someone who is caring and not pushy since this is new to him. Maybe someone who can set up a few lunch or dinner meals but he is not a fancy eater. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
