Waylight is seeking compassionate and dedicated male caregivers to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the life of an elderly male client. Our client, who uses a walker, requires assistance primarily during nighttime hours to help with bathroom visits. Due to the sensitive nature of these duties, we are specifically looking for male caregivers. He has an advanced stage of Parkinson's disease but can walk and bathe himself independently, with slight assistance as needed. We are hiring at least two caregivers to ensure consistent and reliable care during the evenings until morning. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: As a caregiver at Waylight, your responsibilities will include: - Assisting the elderly client with nighttime bathroom visits or using a handheld urinal. - Providing assistance with wiping after urination as needed. - Helping the client get out of bed, into bed, and repositioning as necessary. - Supporting walking around the house, with or without the use of a walker. - Being comfortable with assisting in intimate personal care. - Potentially providing bathing assistance as needed. - Being comfortable and capable of lifting and supporting a full-grown adult male, approximately 175 lbs. - Engaging the client in conversation to provide companionship and mental stimulation. - Working from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and staying alert to assist the client as needed. - Possessing a valid driver's license and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle. - Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and maintaining client confidentiality. - Demonstrating the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively. - Having the physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. - Passing a background check.
