About the job
Weekend and Weeknight help needed for my dad - an exceptional grandpa in his '60s - after heart attack and anoxic brain injury. He is loving, funny, and a little sassy - a great friend. Needs include feeding, wound care, bathing/dressing, movement/turning, straight cath, use of hoyer lift, administration of medication (including insulin), monitoring of vital signs including blood sugar, limited trache care, help with therapy exercises, laundry/light housekeeping, and companionship. Caregiver must be willing to work collaboratively with my mom (Dad's primary caregiver) and other caregivers in the home, and also independently so Mom can sleep. We are a Christ-following family of imperfect people. Dad's ideal caregiver would be full of faith, patient with exhausted family members, and comfortable with a prayerful environment.
