About who needs care: My husband David has Parkinson's, is bedridden with a catheter and needs diaper changes daily for one hour, Friday - Tuesday for several weeks while I recover from hip surgery on July 11th. He is a retired English teacher and former artist. He enjoys watching Gaither videos and reading wildlife magazines. About the care needs: Ideal caregiver is kind and compassionate, and can put up with some temporary backtalk from David while he is being changed. (He is kind and gentle overall but can get worked up during those times.) David may also need help with some wound care on his legs in addition to the catheter bag emptying and diaper changes. Christian beliefs are preferred but not required, as is an interest in holistic care. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
