About the job
We need a part time care provider/companion for my 85-year-old father; someone who is available in the evenings and on weekends. Please be able to assist with transfers to his wheelchair for trips to the bathroom, and meal presentation (cooking is optional). Preference is for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. My father spends most of his time listening to books, watching television and napping. He doesn't see very well, so needs help with the tv remote and buttons on his phone. He also has balance issues, so needs help moving around the house with his wheelchair and walker. He is quiet but likes people. He will carry on a conversation if prompted but is just as happy to keep to himself. He is very easy going, will do whatever is asked of him, and has a good sense of humor.
