About who needs care: Extreme arthritis, on set kidney disease, needs help transferring from bed to commode, and a lot to her wheel chair and recliner which is a lift chair, she does not walk but will pivot and maybe make a small step or 2 depending on her pain, she needs assistance to get dressed, go to the bathroom threw out the day, and make low sodium meals for her. And to put her to bed at night, also to give her a shower 2 times a week or more if needed, she has no control over her bladder, so she winds up going there laundry so there will be some laundry and some dishes and keeping her room clean, the commode clean. She likes to play yatzee, and no how ever you will have to reminder her a lot on what to do and where she is at and do her adding for her, she has the on set of dementia. She gets up anywhere from 6:30 - 11 am depending on what time she goes to bed ( her ideal time is between 8 and 9 ) she goes on the potty gets cleaned up and gets dressed, goes to the kitchen table for breakfast, she likes oatmeal, cheerios, frosted mini wheats , we try to not go over 500mg of sodium a meal so she has room for snacks, if how ever she does that's less snacks she is allotted 2000 mg a day I try to keep her a bit under to keep her feet and legs from swelling, but not to much under, I keep her on decafinated except 1 bottle of raspberry ice tea per day it has 15 mg of sodium and sh usually has it for lunch, but with the kidney disease I'm trying to get her off them all together. After breakfast if she has to go potty again she goes some times she stays in her wheelchair till after lunch sometimes she goes to her recliner it depends how long she's at the table, she likes to drink hot tea and watch the birds, and see if the Eagles come In, after lunch she will go potty and go in her recliner and take a nap, she has 2 roho pillows one needs to be under her where ever she sits, she has a legxerciser pro that she needs to do a few times a day for at least 20 minutes for her circulation. I hope i got everything oh she likes Dinner between 6 and 7 About the care needs: Some one caring, funny, not pushy, or a bully, willing to be patient, she has to go slow and at her pace she gets very nerved up and will cry and tell me to talk to who ever if they up set her, she has alot of anxiety with everything, she has her oldest son living there he is a sever diabetic and cannot take care of her properly, you don't have to do anything medical for him unless it's to call for an ambulance if he has a sugar attack and passes out. We would prefer them not to be on there phones when they are working with her after she takes a nap and there is a quiet time in there stuff to do by all means go ahead just keep it low, she maybe hard of hearing but the phone is a pitch she can hear, lol she likes talkers someone that is not afraid to get in there do there job, and chat with her the whole time, it help calm her, also she will not tell you if your doing something wrong, or if she don't like something she will tell me and have me tell you, she won't usually ask things of you she will have me do that. I do all her shopping, I take care of her meds, and her bills, if there is something they need just let me know and I will get it, she is in a facility right now, but they are talking about medicar releasing her so I will need 24 hour care for her Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
