About who needs care: Special needs adult male 61 years old. Has processing disorder so needs basic life skills support and transportation to work and appointments. No hands on care needed, just daily planning and strategies. Preparing a grocery list and placing online order, troubleshooting internet or phone issues, budgeting and bill paying. Also takes medication and has a history of forgetting to refill prescriptions/take medication as directed. Needs to be observed taking meds. Was thinking of about 90 min in morning and early evening. Family can take some shifts and holidays, but preparing to leave area and looking for long term solutions. About the care needs: Retired spec ed teacher or anyone with experience special needs adults. Needs patience and firmness that he should complete his own tasks rather than do for him. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
