About who needs care: Looking for care so mom /dad can have a weekend away or go on vacation. Son highly functional Down syndrome, no underlying conditions. Attends school daily, during week. Needs overnight care, and transportation 3 miles away for school pickup in morning and pickup again in afternoon from school drop-off at grandparents home. Dinner needs to be meet, and overnight accommodation at residence is needed. Daily: Get up at 7:00am, he gets dressed, , makes his breakfast, out the door at 8:00 a.m. Transportation to grandparents house, for pickup by van. Doesn't need to be picked up until 3:00 p.m. from grandparents house. Transportation to home, he showers and watches tv or plays video games. Dinner at 5pm, after dinner watches tv and lights out at 8; 00 p.m. Start of day begins again at 7:00 a.m. Overnight stay is required. Services needed include: companionship.
