About who needs care: Start of dementia, mobility issues (just had one knee replaced) uses walker, quite self centered and demanding, needs someone to be tough but nice at the same time, just getting out of rehab for knee replacement, need help with getting him on a schedule including required bathing days, he does not want to take showers and can be quite mean about it. Nurses at rehab just told him how it was going to be and he eventually followed direction, he is very proud and does not want someone to see him without clothes. My mom will be home most times too but she is also 80 and just cant do it as much. About the care needs: Someone who is not afraid of an old man getting mad when he doesn't want to do something like shower. Someone with a good sense of humor. My dad can be funny and appreciates humor. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
