About the job
My mom, Mary Jane is 80. Christmas day 2024, she had a heart attack and 2 TIA strokes. She is mobile on her own, but her vision and cognition was affected (ie aphasia, confusion, memory loss.) She is kind but worried, she developed anxiety as it gets dark out. I wouldn't say sundowners; she doesn't get angry, just wants to know that someone is in the house with them, just on repeat. My dad, Dave is 81. He suffers from dementia. He is mobile on his own. He is a very happy person, even now. He makes a lot of jokes and sings a ton of jingles (all day, on repeat about every 10 minutes.) My family is looking for someone to sit with them during the day, evenings, some overnights. They just need someone to talk to, get them water or coffee, give them their medicine at specified times and give them premade meals. Our family just needs some help
