About the job
We are looking for part time live-in home care for my father in his 90s who has mild dementia, is still ambulatory and has a urinary catheter. Responsibilities include assistance with bathing to confirm catheter portal remains clean, medicine prompting, meal prep, companionship and to take him for outings. He has a 2-bedroom condo with an extra guest room on the 2nd floor. Currently his daughters in Northern Michigan take turns caring for him and occasionally the 2 from out of state (including me) along with a nurse aid that comes once a week and a physical therapist. This position could be a flexible and would be part time. A schedule is yet to be determined in terms of what is practical for a caregiver.
