About who needs care: I looking for care for both of my parents. My mom is 99 and my dad is 100. My mom is sharp and active. My dad has dementia, COPD, and bladder leakage. My mom is currently his full-time care-giver. He is fairly self-sufficient and takes care of his own hygiene, with a little help from my mom. He is happy being in his home with the love of his life. My mom is becoming a bit overwhelmed and I do my best to step in whenever possible. I feel like she would benefit from someone to help with household tasks, maybe some meal prep, and an ear to listen maybe a couple days a week for a couple of hours. I haven't mentioned looking for outside help to her yet. I'm just kind of seeing what's out there. They have been married 78 years and spent many of those years travelling in their motor home all over the US. They are still active in their church. They play bingo many days a week or at Senior Center.
About the care needs: Someone cheerful and kind, willing to listen to stories told over and over again. No specialized skills other than patience.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
