About who needs care: My sister is recovering from a brain injury due to inflammation. She has been recovering for about 12 months now. She continues to work on her mobility. Her goal is to walk again. She practices a daily with a walker. The rest of the time she uses a wheelchair for mobility. She is a retired history teacher who loves, travel, nature walks and dogs. About the care needs: Someone with a warm, upbeat personality who is fit enough to push a wheelchair up a ramp and can handle a gait belt for days when my sister is feeling a little wobbly. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
