About who needs care: My friend Junior had a stroke on April 14. It was right side, and has limited her mobility and speech somewhat. She is now using a walker, and we have moved her to Birchwoods on Canco. That has enabled her to have some 24 hour people around her, but she is bored splitless. What I would like to do is find somebody who could be with her for four or so hours two or three days a week consistent days, that would enable her to get to appointments, she loves to go out to the grocery store. She loves to go eat those things. All meals that we go out for are paid for by us. The caregiver will be out. We also will cover their transportation cost for hauling her around . additionally, there might be one evening a month that she would need transportation to theatre. About the care needs: She would prefer a woman. Sense of humor is critical, the more twisted, the better. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, and mobility assistance.
