About who needs care: This is for my stepdaughter, 55, who has been on dialysis for polycistic kidney disease 13 years. She lives alone and is becoming unable to care for herself for ongoing medical problems. She has been in the hospital twice recently. Her father and I are over 75, have medical issues ourselves, and can no longer care for all her needs. About the care needs: She would prefer a woman who can cook for her special dietary needs. Also her caregiver needs to be able to help Dee with basic medical needs such as BP, medications, and transport to appointments and/or trips to/from dialysis if needed. Also, Dee has a labraddor who may need feeding and/or walking. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
