About who needs care: My mother needs directions to facilitate her own self care and some guidance and assistance in doing certain tasks. Since a recent hospitalization, she has become consistently dehydrated and needs much more care making it difficult for me to work. She needs prompts to drink, cough and blow her nose, walk, do Pt & OT home exercises, change her pull up, sometimes her clothes and bedding, get her food and water, occasionally give medications, etc. About the care needs: A sweet but firm personality with medical knowledge would be ideal. Definitely someone who can follow directions and has good communication skills. My mother likes animals, puzzles, and gardening. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
