Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Cape Elizabeth

About who needs care: Mom is a bright and capable individual who has led a full and active life. She is juggling several conditions that are presenting challenges with activities of daily living such as mobility, sight, hearing, and continence. Her basic needs are met at her small, caring assisted living. I am her only child and she is a widow. I am her primary caregiver. The demands are exhausting, especially the paperwork. I seek someone who could visit mom 2-3 days a week help her with her OT exercises, take her out for a walk, read to her, assist her with audio books or electronics. About the care needs: A kind and understanding, yet firm personality with a can-do get up and go attitude would be best. Someone with some knowledge of diabetes, an interest in theatre, literature, music and respect for academia. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
