About the job
We need a live-in home caregiver to take care of the brother of a dear friend of mine in Sharpsburg. Medication management is required. Some light tidying up is involved. We're looking for some help preparing meals. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. We might ask you to run errands now and then. You'll be responsible for transporting him to/from appointments. Preferences for a caregiver who is CPR / first-aid trained. If the caregiver lives in the home, his/her living expenses would be fully paid (no cost for rent, no utilities, no separate grocery bill, etc.). The caregiver would live cost-free and paid hourly for an 8 hr work day. Work hours may vary depending on the needs of the patient. He has mild dementia but is starting to forget people, time of day, taking his medications, going to appointments, etc.
