We need companion care to visit my loved one in Sandy Spring. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker. She lives in a retirement community and is wheel chair bound. Meals, medical care, physical care needs are taken care of. Recently her ability to speak clearly and communicate coherently have become compromised--she may have had a stroke. We're looking into speech therapy that may help. We'd like a caregiver to visit for one hour or an hour and a half, as she tires easily. Activities would include patiently paying attention and helping her with a conversation in her room or shared area or sitting outside, and helping her with drawing and puzzles.
