About who needs care: My dad is early phase of dementia experiencing trouble with short term memory recall and processing complex information. He is no longer able to safely drive. Ideally he needs someone who can take him to the grocery store for light shopping along with taking him to lunch. I am exploring other outings that he can go on such as music event at Strathmore or senior. community lunches. He is able to independently bathe, dress and make breakfast and lunch for himself. About the care needs: My dad is a pleasant and genuinely easy going person. Someone with patience and has dealt with someone with memory loss is helpful. My dad enjoys movies and listening to classical music. He enjoys going out for walks but he tires easily and needs to be able to sit and rest. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
