About who needs care: Mom is 91 and has short term memory loss. Mom walks with a walker. Mom plays the piano. She needs help with meals, dressing, walking behind her on the stairs to the bathroom. Mom enjoys watching TV. About the care needs: Someone who is patient and will not mind repeating themselves, Mom will ask the same question several times a day. Mom listens to the TV rather loudly and she will not get a hearing aid. Someone who will encourage her to play the piano. In her retirement, Mom taught piano to many students. We need someone who is familiar with short term memory loss. Mom knows everyone and once something becomes a long term memory, she is better. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
