About who needs care: Grandma has recently developed A-FIB and CHF. She was in the hospital for a week, and was too week to go straight home, so she moved into an assisted living facility for a respite stay. Her stay will be ending next week and she will be going home to her condo in a 55+ community. She needs help at home doing normal daily activities like preparing meals, grocery shopping, cleaning, doing laundry, and bathing. She can move around with a walker, but she doesn't walk very far. About the care needs: Patience and compassion are key. Grandma is 96, hard of hearing, bull-headed, and set in her ways of doing things. She will question a lot, and suggest the "right" way to do things. I'm making her sound like a terrible person, but she is really quite sweet. She loves her family and friends, and we all love her very much. We need someone that will help her do normal daily things in a caring manner. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
