About who needs care: I am in a power wheelchair. I have fairly severe lymphedema, scoliosis, arthritis and sarcoidosis. I currently am seeing a wound care Dr several times a month. I am in the middle of on-going dental work for restoring my mouth. And as soon as I get clearance from these doctors and my cardiologist, I need two shoulder replacements. My right arm is not functioning well at all and my left is giving out. I have a valid drivers license but I will not drive until my shoulders are fixed. I live in 400 square feet and need help downsizing to fit the space. I am not willing to randomly throw things out until I can sort through things but I seriously need help lifting boxes for me and being patient as I go through things I would deeply appreciate Afternoon help with unpacking from moving, help sorting paperwork, reaching things high in cabinets and low in cabinets, dusting, sweeping, mopping, transportation to Dr visits, watering flowers, cleaning inside of my van and more. I am able to take care of my bodily needs. I do not need help with toilet, showering or dressing. About the care needs: Someone that's quiet and is able to sit in silence without having to talk non-stop. I will need time to think as I process getting rid of things and then I simply need help to move it from one location to either the giveaway pile or family pile. I would work well with someone who is willing to put up with my idiosyncrasies, even though it might seem ridiculous. The biggest challenge I am going to face is downsizing while I grieve the loss of the life that I once lived with my husband. I need someone compassionate that would not be overwhelmed if I just had to take a break and weep through my losses. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
