About who needs care: My Father is recovering from a recent stroke. He is ambulatory, but has memory problems. Prior to the stroke, he was previously hospitalized for 4 weeks, so will need somebody to help with his physical therapy and memory exercises. We will also need assistance in light housekeeping and occasional errands. Hours and days can be flexible. About the care needs: We would need someone who is gentle, patient and has previous GNA experience. No specialized skills needed as memory and physical therapy exercises can be taught. He tires easily and takes frequent naps. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
