Position Assisted Living Care Manager Contractual position Department Assisted Living Reports to Operations Manager Shift Remote Pay Rate Based on Experience Definition An assisted living manager provides directions, management and supervision to residential care specialists and support staff that provide full care services to residents with disabilities or in need of assisted living. Job Summary Supervise caregiver staff and give technical direction. Make weekly site visits to oversee day today operational and assisted living activities. Monitor budget and utilize operational resources, participate in patient quality surveys. Inspect facilities to verify compliance of the Environmental Standards Checklist. Verify inventory count of household supplies with facility groundskeeper on a monthly basis. Ensure services are in compliance with care home regulations, state and federal regulatory requirements. Assist with HR recruiting, including setting up and conducting interviews for assisted living positions. Escort Attend resident's human services appointments to apply or reinstate for state entitlement benefit like food stamps, medical insurance etc. Manage the selection, training and development of staff. Perform annual staff evaluations. Performs other duties as assigned. Act as managerial point of contact to resolve issues in the Transportation division including but not limited to route changes, accidents, driver's conduct or other issues that may arise with the drivers, staff scheduling, operations or the company's vehicles. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree preferred in a health care, social science, business discipline or completion of 80 hour Assisted Living Manager certification. Minimum of two years' experience working in a health care, senior living, or strong service environment. Minimum of two years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a 24 7 environment. Ability to lead, direct, and motivate others to innovate and excel. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing demands for time and attention. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact, in English and use proper grammar and professional writing. Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues. Ability to read at a level to understand care notes and written directives of medical practitioners. Strong computer and keyboarding skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office software and the ability to quickly master new applications. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays Physical Abilities Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend and kneel Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Good Physical condition as determined by pre and post-employment inquires and health report. Must Be able to pass district pre-employment and random drug testing.
