About the job
About who needs care: Dementia and Alzheimer's. Very physically active, health and mobile. But she's starting to have very disruptive toileting habits and not sleeping. Our Dad is her primary carer at home but he needs someone to supervise overnight and take her for activities during the day. She has progressing incontinence and personal care needs and our Dad is getting less and less sleep. We need help. About the care needs: Someone with a good sense of humor. Someone motivated, patient, playful and creative. Someone who loves helping people. Someone who is attentive and willing to try different things to help our Mum. Someone who has a vehicle and can take her for walks and longer outings to keep her occupied. Sometimes overnight shifts. Services needed include: transportation, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
