About who needs care: Dad lives alone and needs some help with keeping house and checking in on his health. Needs may progress over time. He *loves* to chat and joke around - a lot of fun to be with. His main issue is severe knee arthritis that is really limiting his mobility. Also in his shoulders so raising arms is tough. Just need 2hr a week or a 4hr visit every other week, for now. About the care needs: Someone who enjoys chatting and enjoys good-hearted banter. Someone who can help with miscellaneous household tasks, and keep an eye on his condition. Occasional cooking would be a plus. Someone who can keep me appraised via text. I live 1 1/2 hr away, and come up weekly or so. Dad is friendly and loves to laugh and kid around. His insurance will pay for this service, so I need someone who doesn't mind going through the registration process with them. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
