About who needs care: My mother does not actually have Alzheimer's, but she is 102 and has some form of dementia. Her memory is spotty. Her vision is not good, and she should wear hearing aids, but won't. Otherwise, her health is good. She doesn't take any medications. Her interests are very limited. About the care needs: It would be great if a carer would take over showering duties. Ideally, someone would arrive early-ish, wake up my mother and bring her coffee and. breakfast, stay until lunch, which the carer would prepare. Alternatively, an evening shift would include dinner and some television watching until she goes to bed (around 9.). Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
