About who needs care: They have parkinson's disease and want to live alone in their home, but will need assistance on weekly housekeeping such as meal prep and laundry about 1x a week. They need minimal assistance in the shower, mainly to ensure they do not fall. They are most concerned with falls and getting "stuck" somewhere while they are trying to do something, so they want someone in the house with them in case of an accident or in case they need help. Because Parkinson's disease can have fluctuating symptoms, some days he is independent in dressing and ADL's and sometimes he needs assistance. About the care needs: Someone who is gentle and calm. Someone who can be patient with the individual and understand his diagnosis and barriers. Someone who is respectful and trustworthy. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
