About who needs care: Tim has Alzheimer's. He is still aware of who he is and who his loved ones are, and is able to have knowledgeable conversations. He is semi-aware of his condition, and can be stubborn at times about the idea of someone "babysitting" him. He needs monitoring on a daily basis due to his current state of hyperactivity (doing random unnecessary chores, going on walks), and at the moment, his wife is his primary caretaker. We need someone to keep an eye on him so his wife can have a break from time to time. About the care needs: A good fit is a caretaker who has experience with the stage of Alzheimer's where the person is mostly fully-functioning and semi-aware, and therefore can be resistant to monitoring. Someone who can put up with cynical snarky comments and jokes is a bonus. Services needed include: companionship.
