About who needs care: 89-year-old Mom. On oxygen 24/7. Has Stage 4 mouth cancer, lung issues and congestive heart failure. She is exhausted, no interest in any activities. She needs someone to come and assist with bathing, dressing, heat up a quick meal, administering meds in the morning, then again around dinner. She is ok during the day, and has a close friend visiting daily. About the care needs: Someone who is gentle, and caring. Consistency is important and she is a very private person. She has recently been cranky and doesn't like a lot of people in her apt. She's been removing her oxygen mask then becoming very disoriented, confused. She needs someone who will be stern, yet kind. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
