About who needs care: She has limited vision. She enjoys watching other crime shows. She was an avid reader. She used to go to Catholic mass during the week. She will pray the rosary. She enjoys socializing with her friends. She likes getting her nails done. Her blood pressure recently has run low at times. Needs assistance locating items and reminders to increase fluid intake. Supervision when walking around the home and using the bathroom due to vision and blood pressure. May need to be given eye ointment applied. History of mental health but is stable with medication. She had a stem cell transplant 20+ years ago due to cancer. Simple structure of the day. Getting up and getting her out of bed and dressed. Preparing her meals. Ensuring she is moving around and getting social interaction as well as doing the things she enjoys as independently as possible. About the care needs: Someone with patience, kind, caring and a sense of humor. Ideally knowledge or experience working with someone who is blind/limited vision. Trained to physically assist her if needed for transfers etc. holds their first aide and CPR certificate. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
