About the job
Mom has mild/moderate dementia and is currently in assisted living. I'm looking to supplement that with some one-on-one companionship as I'm not in the area. We need a compassionate and engaging person 2-3 hours/ 1-2 days a week for one-on-one time: things like take her to the grocery store, errands, get her nails done, go to the bakery (she loves muffins!), help her do laundry, engage her in activities, and things like that. Her dementia is still just moderate, so while her short term memory is gone, she likes to engage on a variety of topics (very interested in politics, and loves Kamala! ;) It's very important to her that people recognize she is still smart and capable in many ways! My mom can be very funny and caring; she can also be snarky and is often sad/lonely. She's been through a lot and is a strong woman!
