About the job
Seeking hands-on care for my mother (87) and father (89). Daughter provides 24/7 care in their assisted living apartment & we are looking for a reliable, compassionate, caring person to provide some respite for her. Responsibilities include getting them ready for the day - assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding. Some light tidying up is involved. Both parents have chronic medical issues and dementia that are common for their ages. Both parents use walkers and/or transport chairs. They are easy to work with. We are looking for someone to team up with family to provide the best quality of life as possible at this stage in their lives. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets (small dog) & CPR / first-aid trained with experience caring for the elderly.
