About the job
We having an aging parent living in an assisted living facility. She is fiery and fun and a little wacky (in a kind good way). We need help making her last years good ones. Tasks would include some case management (tracking down a med order, making appointments, communicating with us about the care at the facility), some household tasks (preparing a frozen meal, cutting it up etc), encouraging self care (bonus points if you paint nails) and most importantly company and conversation. She is very good at being everyone's therapist and we are looking for someone who can keep the conversation focused on her, current events or encourage her to teach them Yiddish, etc. She has a tendency to end up the caregiver herself and we want to relieve her of that:) We live five minutes away and are always available if needed.
