My dad is a wonderful, energetic, and kind man. About six years ago, he became disabled, leading to significant changes in his life. He has mild cognitive impairment that mainly affects his organization skills. While his short-term memory varies, he manages daily activities well. He uses a walker, doesn't drive, and lives independently. I believe he would benefit from someone visiting 1-2 times a week for structure. This help could include running errands, managing household tasks, and organizing his calendar. More importantly, he values companionship. He is very social and loves to chat, but since he spends most time at home, he lacks social interaction. My family and I visit him regularly, but having consistent visits from someone would provide support and enhance his quality of life.
