About the job
We're looking for a kind and compassionate sitter for our mother, who is in her 90s and lives with us in our home. She has dementia and would benefit from a caring, attentive companion to spend time with her in the afternoons. We will be home during each visit. We are currently seeking care on Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m. for a six week period, beginning April 26 or 27. Care would include assisting with light, engaging activities such as art projects, games, short walks, reading, organizing photos, offering snacks, and simply sitting and chatting. Ideal candidates will have experience with dementia care, be non-smokers, and feel comfortable around pets; we have two friendly dogs.
