About who needs care: Had open heart surgery a few years ago. Had a knee replacement last year and needs the other one done in the fall. My mom independent, sharp and still drives but needs help getting basics done and prioritizing tasks. She is having some short term memory lapses and needs help establishing a morning routine so she can out of the house in the afternoons for both work and personal appointments in a timely manner. She is using a walker right now and pretty mobile just slow with that. She occasioanally needs help getting in and out of bed at times based on pain, remembering to take meds, breakfast and lunch prepped for her. Organizing and occasionally doing returns that seem to accumulate as well as consistent housekeeping like change sheets. laundry, clear counters, clean out fridge out old food and assist with watering flowers and putting out trash. About the care needs: My mom is very friendly and loves to talk. I need someone who will appreciate this, but know when they need to get to work and not just hang out with her. Many of the care givers we have had for different things become like family to her. So I would like someone who values her and the wide variety of conversations she enjoys having. This person definately needs to be organized as she lives in clutter and chaos more than organization and needs someone strong in this capacity who takes initiative, knows how to chat WHILE getting tasks accomplished. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
