Experienced person needed to help assist with the care of my 89-year-old elderly brother with late stage Vascular Dementia. We live in North Amherst in a pleasant environment. This is an on call substitute position where hours may vary and increase as needed. Living in Amherst or close to town would be preferable. Possible live-in position for the right person. We currently have people who work morning and evenings two hours each and need someone to fill in when they can't work. Morning care concerns are shower/dressing, breakfast prep, mobility guidance, toileting, personal hygiene/grooming, and preparing bed for evening. Evening care concerns are dinner prep, bedtime readiness, mobility guidance, toileting, personal hygiene/grooming and brief PT exercises. Dogs & cats are a large part of our family so liking animals is a must.
