About who needs care: My dad is in his 70s, he'll be 75 next week actually. He worked in oil and gas early in his life and was (still is sometimes) a real estate appraiser. He has diabetes and he is in hospice for liver failure since December 2023. The nurse comes only once a day for about 15 to 30 minutes Monday through Friday usually around 9 a.m. He can't really walk and we use a lift to get him in his power chair, usually once a day. He can usually talk just fine and everything, but sometimes his speech will be slurred, mostly due to the inability of his liver to provide certain necessary functions (depends how the meds are working that day). He can sometimes eat by himself depending on what the food is, but his hands and arms shake pretty profusely sometimes, so it's usually cleaner to just feed him. Usually we have a family member present to handle things such as diaper changes and feeding, but sometimes they have things they have to do and can't be there for him. I'm looking for someone who can at least be with him during those times where family is not available. The primary items are: diaper changes and bring him food and water. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
