Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Kenner

About who needs care: Fully mobile but does use a cane for balance. Able to feed herself and use the bathroom on her own. Needs help with taking a shower, getting dressed. Needs companionship, someone to keep her company. She enjoys art, painting. She had a stroke in 2019 and has aphasia, but it has gotten much better since then with speech therapy. She has some dementia symptoms too, memory. About the care needs: She prefers a caretaker who is patient and who likes to talk. Someone who can help her work on learning to read and write again, even if just a little. We have some books and games here to help with that. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
