About the job
My Mom has only had three caregivers, so we're holding out for a great match in the hopes that someone can stay with us for the duration. We are located in Lafitte, 25 miles south of New Orleans. My Mom is only awake 7-8 hours per day. There is no heavy lifting, as we have a Charme rotating sleep-to-sit bed and a Sit-to-Stand Hoyer. We're looking for someone who can be a friend. Who can anticipate her needs, is empathetic and patient, attentive to detail, and a good listener. Who won't speak about her as if she's not in the room, nor treat her as a list of tasks. As a family, we'll do everything we can to support you in your work here, prioritizing your health and your needs as well as our own. We're searching for someone we can truly depend on, who can develop a relationship of trust and genuine caring with my Mom.
