About who needs care: Husband and wife, both in early 80's. Female has type 1 diabetes and memory issues. Need oversight of female, mostly. She can bathe and dress herself but needs to be reminded to do so. No lifting is required. Male has some memory issues but not terrible, still able to drive but not for much longer- he's mostly self sustaining. About the care needs: Familiarity with type 1 diabetic care is preferred or the ability to quickly grasp the basic needs of a type 1 insulin defendant diabetic senior citizen. An insulin pump is used so no daily injections are required. Non smoker is highly preferred. **Please note, that we will ask if you are a smoker. My mother is highly sensitive to smoke. Services needed include: medication oversight, transportation, meal prep, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship.
