About who needs care: My mother is trying to care for my 76 yr old stepfather alone. He had dementia and she has stage 3 renal disease along with liver problems. She could use assistance around the house with my step father. Giving meds, changing him and bathing him. He is in adult diapers but can get to the bathroom sometimes. He sometimes looses mobility in his legs and falls. They need help. My mother has gotten sick at the last hospital stay for my step dad with the flu and now she really needs some help in place. About the care needs: Someone who is very patient and trained to deal with dementia patients. Someone who cooks and maybe loves to watch movies. Honest and trustworthy. My mother doesn't like people in her things so she will take a lil time to get comfortable with the situation, but she is aware it is now needed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
