About who needs care: Sean is my brother. He's a good guy with disabilities. He's partially blind, mentally handicapped, autistic and I'm sure something else. He has gotten into an obsession of self harming. It started with biting his arms then needing tennis bands to cover till arms were fully covered. Then it went to bandaids having to be symmetrical and if one messed up it was repeat, spending around 300 a week on those. Now it's gauze and medical tape. This lasts for hours at night, they tape he goes downstairs and repeat. My parents are at an emotional end. I've asked them to try live in care before admitting him to a facility. He loves he-man, loves going for rides and can talk your ear off. But he needs help. Sometimes it's like talking to a wall. They have a complete living area downstairs and bedroom plus his room. About the care needs: Someone who can understand mentally handicapped adults. Someone who could take him for a ride, sit and watch a movie with him. They do not have to be by his side 24/7 but be here for whatever happens. Someone to do these bandages changes and hopefully get his mind back to where he doesn't do this anymore. Maybe help keep the bathroom clean downstairs. He loves He-Man, 80's, building with duck tape, plumbing and Popeye. Sean can have a mouth on him and likes to cuss but laugh it off, he can also say racial slurs but has picked this up from places he's been. We usually just tell him to stop and he does.
