About who needs care: My grandmother has stage 4 - 5 Alzheimer's and currently needs help with putting on the correct clothes for the day and someone to go on walks with her. She mostly likes to watch TV, dance, and go for walks with her little dog. She is always sweet, compassionate, and very goofy. Her husband worked the night shift most of their life so she is still stuck on that schedule. She generally sleeps in until 10 or even 1 and stays up until 3 a.m. She also has a few other health concerns that require her to use a walker and not be in the heat for an extended period of time. She has vertigo and a weak back that cause stability issues. She was still very active until a few months ago when she had a serious fall. About the care needs: I will need help from someone who will not have an issue going for a quick 20 min walk possibly multiple times during the day with my grandmother when she takes her dog for a walk. Sometimes it's only 10 minutes but my grandmother loves the outdoors and it is the only form of exercise she gets now. Will need to have patience with her as she repeats herself very often now but she is very polite about it and will ask and excuse herself for getting repetitive, she is still aware. Services needed include: companionship, and mobility assistance.
