About who needs care: Doc is 89 years old (turning 90 this month) just moved in with his daughter. Recently diagnosed with many heart blockages and blockages in femoral arteries. Surgery is not an option. He was dancing up a storm a month ago:) Has to use a walker, but needs someone near/ due to fall risk. And he forgets he needs a walker. Needs assistance with some meals, moving room to room. Light bathing & and changing clothes. (only periodic, if needed) Spends most of the time sitting, sleeping and watching TV. Can go to bathroom alone, just help getting there. Very easy to get along with and agreeable. Definitely a "people person" If possible, helping with small housework chores, dishes, laundry, periodic meal prep if needed. About the care needs: Easy going, good sense of humor, patient. Looking for someone with a caring heart. If has nursing/med experience that is helpful, but not necessary. The loss of independence is new in the last few weeks, has been on his own until then. Would need to be comfortable & age appropriate with possible bathing or clothes changing. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
